ScriptDrive is a script discovery platform designed to simplify the process of finding and evaluating screenplays. It ranks scripts based on two key factors to help industry professionals discover promising projects:
- Reader Ratings: You can hire a ScriptDrive reader to review your script. They'll provide in-depth feedback and a star rating (1–5). The better your ratings and the more you have, the higher your script will rank!
- Logline Likes: Scripts are also ranked by the number of likes their loglines receive from the ScriptDrive community.
By combining expert insights with community-driven discovery, ScriptDrive helps outstanding scripts rise to the top and get the attention they deserve.
All ScriptDrive readers are seasoned professionals with at least five years of industry experience. You can easily filter them by recommendations from other writers to find the perfect match. Once you’ve chosen a reader, simply click the Buy button on their profile to begin.
- Follow the guided steps to upload your screenplay.
- Track the status of your review in your dashboard.
- Receive a notification when your review is complete.
Receiving a four-star or higher rating on ScriptDrive is a significant achievement — in traditional coverage terms, it’s equivalent to a "Consider" or "Recommend". The more high ratings your script gets, the higher it ranks and the more visibility it gains.
We also feature top-rated scripts (4★+) in our weekly ScriptDrive newsletter to help increase exposure and opportunities.
A lower rating isn’t a reflection of your worth as a writer — it’s just one reader’s opinion. A 3–3.5 star rating is still decent and can help with visibility, so we suggest keeping it.
However, if you receive ratings of 2.5 stars or below, consider hiding them, as they may lower your overall ranking.
Your script’s rating is the average of all ratings it receives. Even one low score can lower the overall average. You can hide ratings of 3.5 or below if your script’s average is already 4 or higher.
Feedback is subjective. Readers are independent professionals paid for their time and insight, so we don’t mediate opinion-based disagreements.
If you believe a reader skipped sections or used AI for feedback, contact us immediately. We take such reports seriously.
Your script’s rank appears in your Settings page. Rankings combine two factors:
- High-Star Ratings: More high ratings = higher rank.
- Community Support: Logline likes from users also boost ranking.
Only the top 250 scripts receive a numbered rank (e.g., 54/250); others show a dash (–).
Click the Add Script button on the Browse page. Fill out the form with your script’s title, tags, optional budget tags, and logline (max 300 words), then hit Submit.
